A superb day looking for desert elephants in the bed of the
Hoanib river. Apparently only 53 are left that live in the desert, so we were
really lucky to spot sixteen. (Even luckier, since the day before the Namibian
president - Sam Nujoma - had gallantly shot eight Oryx from his presidential
helicopter in the river system the day before!).
