In November 2002, Jeannette and I went to Namibia for a three week long holiday and safari tour. This was  excellently organised for us by Jan Grobler, who runs Calabash Safaris, based in Windhoek. Our tour was based on two sections of self-drive at either end of the holiday, with an escorted section in the middle, where Jan met up with us at Etosha and then travelled with us, as a guide, friend, ornithologist, organiser, driver,........ you name it he did it!
